GERMANY – DKSH Performance Materials and Döhler’s texturants business unit have entered into a distribution and marketing collaboration to provide logistics of pectins, fruit fibers, and fruit powders for the food industry in Switzerland and Austria.
DKSH is one of the leading specialty chemicals and food ingredients distributors and a global provider of Market Expansion Services for business partners in specialty chemicals, food and beverage ingredients, pharmaceutical ingredients, and personal care ingredients.
Döhler GmbH, is a Germany-based global manufacturer, marketer, and provider of technology-based natural ingredients, ingredient systems, and integrated solutions for the food, beverage, and nutritional industries.
Among other products, Döhler GmbH develops pectins, citrus, apple fibers, texturizing fruit powders, and other natural ingredients. These products are used in various foods, such as yogurts, jams, baked goods, meat products, and smoothies.
As mentioned by Döhler, its pectin, and fibers are made from natural raw materials, contain no additives, and are therefore ideally suited for formulations that do not have any E numbers.
The company is accredited with international certifications to guarantee the highest food safety standards for all products.
The collaboration with DKSH enables Döhler to market and expand the texturants segment in Switzerland and Austria. DKSH will also provide technical expertise to Döhler via its Food & Beverage Ingredients team in Zurich.

In September 2022, DKSH signed the acquisition of Terra Firma, a leading distributor of specialty chemicals in North America.
With this acquisition, DKSH aimed to expand its platform of the Business Unit Performance Materials to the USA and Canada.
It was also an important step in DKSH’s strategy to build a global distribution platform for specialty chemicals and ingredients.
