TURKEY – Myande Group, a leading provider of equipment and engineering services in Oils and Fats, is set to undertake one of the largest multiple oil seeds crushing project in Turkey, in a move that cements an equipment solutions leader in the food industry.

According to a statement from the company, it has signed a contract with Ozmirioglu A.S for the construction of a 1,000 tons per day (TPD) multiple oilseeds crushing plant.

Upon successful completion and commissioning of the project, Ozmirioglu will become the proud owner of the largest cottonseed crushing plant in Turkey.

Ozmirioglu A.S. which has been in operation since 1978 has business interests in Turkey’s edible oil, feed and grain sectors.

Being present for over 4 decades, the company has developed expertise in its area of interest and has engaged international engineering companies for several larger scale projects.

Myande Group’s superior technology made it stand out and was thus chosen to provide engineering, equipment, and automation control system for the 1,000TPD multiple oilseeds crushing line.

The China based equipment technology company will also oversee the incorporation of energy saving, and consumption reduction technologies into the process and equipment design to help Ozmirioglu A.S reduce production costs.

Ozmirioglu’s project is timely as the Turkish edible oil market is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 3.18% by revenue and 3.28 % by volume during the forecast period of 2019 to 2025, according to recent data from Research and Market.

Turkey’s edible oils market poised for growth

The market research firm notes that the key driving factor for growth in the Turkish market is the rising awareness among consumers that olive oil, sunflower oil and diverse types of vegetable and seed oils are healthier than the products made from animal fat, such as butter or even margarine.

Health specialists recommending olive oil and other types of edible oils products via mass media channels is also expected to further fuel growth in this market.

Also, the per capita consumption of edible oils in Turkey is lower than in many other countries; therefore, providing immense growth opportunities for companies such as  Ozmirioglu A.S.

Myande Group’s leadership in edible oils

Meanwhile, Myande has continued to demonstrate its expertise in edible oils engineering technology, successfully delivering edible oils turnkey projects in several countries globally.

Earlier this month, Myanda oversaw the commissioning of a plant which is currently the largest edible oil refinery plant in Tajikistan featuring high level of automation and continuous operation.

In May 2020, Myande Group won the bid for the 1-million-ton-per-annum soybean processing upgrade project of Xi’an Bangqi Oil Technology Co., Ltd.

On June this year, Myande completed the project, delivering a new soybean crushing facility which will make use of Bangqi’s current 1,500 TPD plant to increase its production capacity and to reduce its energy consumption.
