Electrolit to build US$400M High-Tech manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas

USA – Electrolit, a scientifically formulated premium hydration beverage company, plans to construct a US$400 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and its first U.S. production location in Waco, Texas.

It will be the first U.S. manufacturing plant for the Mexican hydration beverage brand since it launched stateside a decade ago.

This 600,000-square-foot facility will feature advanced automation and the capacity to incorporate recycled plastic packaging to minimize its carbon footprint, according to the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce.

Electrolit has strategically acquired land in Texas Central Park, Waco’s largest industrial park, signifying a substantial investment in the local community and providing convenient access for the workforce. The Waco site will be equipped to use non-virgin and recycled packaging materials, in line with state regulations on plastic usage.

Additionally, rail infrastructure will be utilized for distributing finished products, significantly reducing carbon emissions and allowing for future expansion.

The development of this leading-edge facility that prioritizes automation will be done in partnership with Stellar, a premier EPC firm.

Electrolit aims to deliver scientifically formulated and domestically produced hydration beverages to its customers by 2026, marking the next phase of its global development.

Established in Mexico in 1950, Electrolit is known for its premium hydration beverages that replenish the body after physical activity, extreme heat, or a night of partying.

The brand is manufactured and owned by Pisa Pharmaceuticals, the largest pharmaceutical company in Mexico and Latin America.
