GERMANY – In response to a rising demand in meat alternatives, German plant-based brand endori is introducing its latest vegan beef product.
The vegan beef market is projected to expand from $4 billion in 2023 to US$26.9 billion by 2033, driven by a compound annual growth rate of 20.6%, according to a recent report from Future Market Insights.
Known for its range of pea-protein products, endori’s new offering is designed to provide a texture and flavor similar to beef.
Using a blend of pea and wheat proteins, the company claims the product is high in plant-based protein and works well in various dishes, from bowls to stir-fries and goulash.
endori emphasizes its commitment to ingredient transparency and minimal additives. Dr. Axel de With, Managing Director at endori, described the product as the result of extensive research, aimed at setting a high bar for both taste and environmental impact.
Key features of the vegan beef include the use of locally grown peas and wheat through contract farming within Germany, a Nutri-Score A rating, and a fibrous structure that is intended to replicate the texture of traditional beef.
The product is ready for cooking in a few minutes and can be prepared in various culinary styles.
The product launch aligns with endori’s “From field to fork” philosophy, promoting local sourcing and sustainable practices.
The company’s production facility in Bamberg is designed to maintain an ecological and transparent supply chain from cultivation to the final product.
Available in two flavors, Natural and Paprika, the 180-gram packs of endori’s vegan beef are expected to reach retailers by early December 2024.
