SWITZERLAND – Swiss multinational process and laboratory instrumentation and automation supplier Endress+Hauser (E+H) has released new Liquid Analysis disinfection sensors, a holder assembly, and a gas analyzer to its family of instrumentation tools.

Endress+Hauser says the sensors, which include include the CCS55D Memosens Free Bromine sensor, and the CCS58D Memosens Ozone sensor can be used for measurement in more applications.

The membrane-covered, low-maintenance  CCS55D Memosens Free Bromine sensor has a wide measurement range options—from trace levels of 0 to 5 mg/L (ppm), on up to 200 mg/L—and a maximum measured error of ±2 %, or ±5 µg/l (ppb).

Given its high sensitivity, E+H says the sensor is the ideal measuring solution for monitoring bromine levels in almost any application.

“It is built for stable and long-term measurement, while tried-and-true Memosens digital sensor technology ensures maximum process uptime,” Endress+Hauser said.

Meanwhile, the new launched Memosens CCS58D Ozone sensor supports the rise in the use of ozone for water disinfection with inline measurement using the Liquiline transmitter and Memosens digital sensor technology platforms.

This sensor is said to be capable of measuring ozone concentrations in the range of 0.1 to 2.0 mg/L, with an error of ±2 %, or ±5 µg/l.

“This range is ideal for monitoring ozone levels in drinking water, wastewater, and utilities to ensure efficient and safe disinfection,” E+H said.

CYA27 holder assembly

“The CYA27 provides a flexible basis for the measurement of disinfection parameters, including chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, bromine, and further parameters of liquid analysis, such as pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity.”

The CYA27 assembly is, on the other hand, designed to be freely configurable, accommodating a wide range of sensors, including disinfection, pH, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen.

The holder assembly also offers flow monitoring and diagnostic indicator options to ensure reliable measurement, covering a wide range of disinfection applications.

The modular Flowfit CYA27 flow assembly enables measurement of up to six parameters in process and drinking water, enabling adaptation to many process requirements, E+H revealed.

“The CYA27 provides a flexible basis for the measurement of disinfection parameters, including chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone, bromine, and further parameters of liquid analysis, such as pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity.”

Additionally, the assembly features a status light that provides clear indication of the measuring point’s operational state, informing operators of process conditions at a glance, and thus helping optimize production and mitigate potential problems.

J22 laser absorption spectroscopy

Endress+Hauser has also debuted a new version of its J22 laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) gas analyser, an update to the initial release in 2021.

The latest updates include support for the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, which enables users to communicate with their analysers from a central network location in a bidirectional, secure point-to-point manner.

Combined with the addition of a native web server, this enables users to easily monitor, configure, and service the analyser remotely.

The J22 (TDLAS) analyser also continues the tradition established by its predecessor with a user-friendly interface, integrated diagnostics, and a host of modular hardware.
