NIGERIA – Thai Farm International Limited, subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, has announced the change of its corporate name to Premium Cassava Products Limited.

The change in the cassava processing division, which is also a major stakeholder in the industrial production of Garri – Golden Penny Garri, is part of a larger group-wide restructuring programme by the management of FMN.

FMN seeks to restructure its businesses in agriculture sector as it intends to improve not just the efficiency of its various businesses in that sector but also to greatly increase the synergy within the group.

Nassib Raffoul, the Chief Operating Officer of the company’s Agro-allied Division, said; “This change was borne out of the overall mandate to adopt a common identity across the agro-allied businesses under the division.

“Other than the change of identity, our existing policies on products, customer relations, quality commitment, management and directions shall remain as they are.

“Our customers, consumers and other stakeholders will continue to get the best of services that they have become accustomed to while partnering Thai Farm.”

The new brand identity includes a top-to-bottom redesign of the company’s logo, graphics, communications and correspondence.

According to a report by ThisDay PCPL’s new brand assets include a fresh, simplified, logo that features the new name in light grey, and in green, the new 3-leaves insignia, that has been adopted and incorporated in the logos of all the business units under the FMN Agro-Allied division, symbolising uniformity and consistency of purpose.

“With the new brand identity, Premium Cassava Products Limited is now truly revitalised to deliver on its core focus of producing quality products to its customers.

“However, it is important to clarify that the company is primarily, a processor and producer of cassava flour and Golden Penny garri,” he added.

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc provides food, agricultural products through its flour, noodles, pastas, oil & spreads, and sugar, animal feeds and fertilisers products as well as logistics & support services.

Recently, the firm also launched the Golden Penny jollof noodles which according to the Category Manager for noodles, Golden Penny, Chiaka Eluchie the brand currently holds 10% of the N109bn noodles market share and intends to increase the market share even further.

“We have done so much research on wheat flavours and their appeal to consumers, so we decided to come out with Jollof noodles flavour. This brand is one of its kind, made from a unique blend of spices that give that intriguing jollof taste,” she noted during the launch.
