USA – The Middleby Corporation, a manufacturer of commercial foodservice and food processing equipment has acquired North Carolina-based Deutsche Beverage Technology, a leader in beverage brewing and processing systems.
Deutsche is a technology provider in beverage and liquid processing, offering a wide variety of advanced solutions for beer, cold brew coffee, kombucha and other liquid extraction applications.
The company products line include yeast brinks, kegs, brewhouse systems, cellar and fermentation systems, milling systems and hoppers and yeast propagation systems among a wide range of products and services to the beverage industry.
Tim FitzGerald, CEO of The Middleby Corporation believes that being well-positioned in fast growing markets and emerging segments, Deutsche has differentiated technology with highly engineered products.
“The company is very complementary to Ss Brewtech, which Middleby acquired in June, and we are now in a position to accelerate product development and leverage the sales capabilities of both brands,” FitzGerald said.
“Our commitment remains to strategically expand the Middleby beverage offerings, as operators continue to have great interest in new products and solutions for their high-margin beverage programs.”
In January, Middleby Corporation acquired RAM Fry Dispensers, a business unit of Automated Equipment based in Red Wing, Minnesotta, expanding its position in automated frozen fry dispensing equipment.
In December last year, The Middleby Corporation announced the acquisition of Seattle-based Synesso, a designer and manufacturer of semi-automatic espresso machines for the commercial market.
The expansion follows a string of acquisition that the company has closed in the recent past. In June last year, the company acquired craft brewing and beverage equipment Ss Brewtech.
Ss Brewtech was the first to introduce professional-grade brewing equipment for the small-scale craft brewing industry. The company now operates as an autonomous business unit within Middleby.
Other acquisitions include, Powerhouse Dynamics a leader in cloud-based IoT solutions for the foodservice industry and Brava Home, a California-based company that supplies advanced residential cooking technology paired with a chef-powered service.
