USA – Fortifi Food Processing Solutions has announced the completion of its acquisition of LIMA (Les Innovations Mecaniques Alimentaires), a leading French company known for designing and manufacturing equipment for separating, grinding, deboning, and de-sinewing meat.

“LIMA’s innovative and efficient machinery is crucial for the secondary and advanced processing of proteins, particularly poultry and pork,” said Massimo Bizzi, CEO of Fortifi.

“This acquisition aligns with our growth strategy and strengthens our position in the food production sector.”

Founded in 1981, LIMA initially developed a unique mechanical separator for local meat processing facilities in Quimper, France.

Over the years, the company has expanded its product range to include a variety of protein processing solutions, establishing a global presence.

With this acquisition, LIMA will join other prominent brands under the Fortifi umbrella, such as Bettcher Industries, Frontmatec, MHM Automation, REICH Thermoprozesstechnik GmbH, and Nothum.

Denis Le Guillou, President of LIMA, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition.

“Becoming part of Fortifi allows us to extend our reach and serve a broader customer base. We are excited about the potential to enhance profitability for our clients worldwide with our advanced technology.”

A notable aspect of the acquisition is the integration of LIMA employees into Fortifi’s broad-based ownership program.

This initiative provides employees the opportunity to benefit from equity ownership, fostering a sense of shared success and commitment to the company’s growth.

This acquisition signifies Fortifi’s commitment to expanding its capabilities and market presence in the food processing industry.

With LIMA’s advanced equipment and innovative solutions, Fortifi is well-positioned to meet the evolving demands of the global meat processing market, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in food processing equipment and automation solutions.
