USA – Fortifi Food Processing Systems, a worldwide leader in food processing and automation, has unveiled its Enriching Communities initiative, reaffirming its dedication to addressing hunger and food insecurity.
This initiative is part of Fortifi’s broader mission to support a growing global population through sustainable manufacturing practices.
The Enriching Communities initiative showcases Fortifi’s collaborative efforts with food banks and local organizations aimed at enhancing grassroots community welfare.
In Europe, Fortifi’s subsidiary Frontmatec has taken a proactive approach by donating surplus food to mental health and social service centers, ensuring that it reaches those in need rather than going to waste.
In Québec, Canada, Frontmatec joined forces with Frigos Pleins (“Full Fridges”) to gather food donations for the Bellechasse community.
Meanwhile, in Kansas City, Missouri, Frontmatec employees dedicated a year to volunteer at Mimi’s Pantry, a local food bank.
Similarly, Cantrell Gainco organized a two-week food drive resulting in a donation of 319 pounds of peanut butter and pasta to the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
Massimo Bizzi, CEO of Fortifi, emphasized the critical impact of food insecurity, noting, “Any level of food insecurity poses serious health risks and leads to economic instability. The difficult choice between adequate food and other basic needs disrupts family integrity.”
At Fortifi’s global headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, employees have partnered with the Montgomery Food Bank for two upcoming volunteer events aimed at assisting local residents in Montgomery County.
Fortifi plans to announce additional volunteer opportunities at its global locations in the coming weeks.
Fortifi operates on a global scale, providing automated food processing equipment and solutions designed to enhance yield, productivity, food quality, and worker safety for major food producers.
The company’s diverse portfolio includes Bettcher Industries, Frontmatec, MHM Automation, Nothum Food Processing Systems, REICH Thermoprozesstechnik GmbH, and LIMA S.A.S., each specializing in various aspects of food processing and automation.
