Freja expands its instant bone broth range with new Asian-inspired flavours

Chicken Ramen and Beef Pho join Freja’s limited-edition offerings, promising convenience and clean-label ingredients.

UK – UK-based bone broth brand Freja is rolling out two new limited-edition additions to its Instant Bone Broth line: Chicken Ramen and Beef Pho.

The newly launched variants are designed to bring Asian-inspired flavours to consumers seeking quick and nutritious broth-based meals.

Each sachet blends Freja’s slow-cooked bone broth with a mix of vegetables, herbs and spices, packaged in a format intended to offer a similar convenience level to stock cubes.

According to the brand, the Instant Bone Broth range delivers up to 11g of protein and 7g of collagen per serving, including all nine essential amino acids, without using artificial flavourings, preservatives or fillers.

Chicken Ramen and Beef Pho Join Line-Up

The Chicken Ramen flavour features a blend of miso, garlic and ginger, and is described as a smooth broth with umami notes, aimed at consumers looking to create Japanese-style ramen dishes at home.

This option contains 9g of protein, 5g of type II collagen and 50 kilocalories per 15g serving.

In contrast, the Beef Pho variety incorporates traditional Vietnamese ingredients like star anise, cloves and cinnamon for a deeper, aromatic profile.

With 11g of protein and 6g of collagen types I and III, the Beef Pho broth offers 56 kilocalories per serving.

Both variants are made using free-range chicken and grass-fed beef, aligning with the brand’s focus on clean-label and allergen-friendly formulations.

Freja’s broths are also free from gluten and dairy, targeting consumers with specific dietary needs or preferences.

Jess Leather, co-founder of Freja, stated that the current stock and broth category includes many highly processed products that depend on synthetic flavour enhancers.

She said the company aimed to introduce a pantry staple that delivers both taste and nutritional value without artificial additives.

The limited-edition broths are now available in packs of four single-serve 15g sachets, each priced at approximately US$7.50 (converted from £5.99).

They are being sold online through Amazon and Freja’s direct-to-consumer website.
