ISRAEL – Frutarom, Israeli-based flavor and fragrance company has debuted a new solution dubbed, SubSTAR Solutions for Salmon oil protection in pet food industry.

Frutarom Food Protection Division has unveiled the new solution which plays a vital role in management of salmon oil oxidation.

According to the company, the animal fats, vegetable oils and meals are necessary for proper nutrition and palatability of pet food, but they are also highly susceptible to degradation.

During the deteriorative changes, a variety of reactive and toxic compounds are produced affecting the health and well-being of pets.

This formulation comes to protect pet food from rancidity by preventing deteriorative changes with addition of antioxidants.

SubSTAR solution functions by protecting salmon oil from oxidation, improve its overall stability, maintain product color, and preserve the flavor and nutritional profile.
