The new CryoStar automatic enhances accuracy in detecting extraneous water in milk, operating efficiently even at high ambient temperatures.
GERMANY – Funke-Gerber, a leading manufacturer in cryoscopy technology, has launched its upgraded CryoStar automatic, designed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of detecting extraneous water in milk.
The improved system ensures reliable operation even at room temperatures reaching 40°C, making it well-suited for various laboratory environments.
One of the key advancements in the CryoStar automatic is its newly integrated pressure sensor, which alerts users if air pressure variations could impact freezing point measurements. This feature enhances measurement precision by preventing external factors from affecting results.
Additionally, the device offers a user-friendly touch display for easy configuration, real-time monitoring, and automatic calibration, reducing potential errors and streamlining operations.
For seamless data transfer, the CryoStar is compatible with both printers and PCs, adhering to laboratory connectivity standards. This allows laboratories to efficiently document and analyze test results while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
“Adulteration, such as dilution with water, not only undermines consumer confidence but also has serious financial and legal implications,” said Dipl.-Ing. Konrad Schäfer of Funke-Dr. N. Gerber Labortechnik GmbH.
“The challenge is to ensure that measuring instruments deliver fast, consistent results while maintaining stability even in high-temperature environments.”
The CryoStar automatic is equipped with a rotary magazine holding up to twelve samples, with the first measurement available in just 90 seconds. The system, capable of processing up to 40 samples per hour, enhances laboratory efficiency without compromising accuracy.
Further refinements include an upgraded cooling unit and advanced control electronics that minimize heat waste, allowing reliable performance in demanding conditions.
The device guarantees linearity across a measuring range of -1.5°C to 0°C, with a precision error of less than 0.001°C, eliminating the need for recalibration even when measuring outside the initial calibration range.
Designed for future adaptability, all parameters in the CryoStar automatic are fully programmable, ensuring compliance with evolving national and international standards.
The system also supports multiple languages, with the ability to integrate new language options via software updates, broadening its accessibility for global users.
