INDONESIA – Givaudan, a Swiss multinational manufacturer of flavours, is in the process of establishing a new production facility in Indonesia, aiming for considerable growth and technological advancement.
The site is designed to enhance the company’s regional presence, enabling production to be located closer to customers and offering innovative solutions to meet rising demand while supporting local economic development.
The new facility is projected to generate approximately 60 jobs, encompassing a variety of skill sets, while also promoting a health-focused community program.
This initiative reflects Givaudan’s aim to nurture local talent and contribute to Indonesia’s economic sustainability.
During the opening ceremony, Christina Yeo, Head of Operations APAC, stated, “At Givaudan, we are committed to purposeful growth.
This groundbreaking ceremony signifies a crucial step forward in strengthening our production capabilities to collaborate with our customers in creating exceptional food experiences.
By extending our manufacturing operations and enhancing the communities where we work, we are positioned to succeed in various aspects.”
In line with Givaudan’s sustainability objectives, the new facility will incorporate advanced sustainable technologies and features.
Planned elements include solar energy utilization, systems for recycled water, improved natural and LED lighting with sensors, partnerships with certified green energy providers, and rainwater harvesting initiatives.
These features aim to reduce environmental impact and ensure operational efficiency over the long term.
Construction on the facility has commenced and is projected to be completed within 18 months, with operations anticipated to start in the first half of 2026.
