KENYA – Boyden, a global consulting firm specialising in executive recruitment, has opened an office in Nairobi, its third branch in Africa.

The company, which has more than 70 offices in over 40 countries, offers high level executive search, interim management and human capital consulting across various sectors.

Boyden says the presence of many multinationals and the country’s large base of highly skilled professionals have attracted it to Nairobi.

“The increasing investment in the region by global organisations has created an exciting landscape,” said Boyden’s East Africa managing partner Farah Samanani in a statement.

“We see a strong demand for world-class professionals to spearhead leadership and growth.

“This extends to both public and private sectors including governments, multinationals and conglomerates.”

She added that talented and experienced Kenyans in the diaspora are seeking to return to be a part of the country’s economic growth story.

The company joins a growing field with established players including the “big four” audit firms and Manpower Services Group. The HR consultancy firms charge a fee for helping organisations recruit executives.

Boyden East Africa will be staffed by local experts with international experience.

The company will focus mainly on high growth sectors in financial services, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare and technology.

The regional operation will be supported by Boyden’s global network in close association with the Middle East and North Africa offices.

“There is an abundance of opportunities for the ever-increasing educated population of professionals in East Africa,” said Magdy El Zein, managing partner for Boyden Middle East and North Africa.

“However, there are some challenges for businesses to identify those individuals with the right credentials, education, knowledge and ambition”.
