CANADA – High Liner Foods Incorporated, a Canadian processor and marketer of frozen seafood, has named Darryl Bergman as their new Chief Financial Officer.
Bergman steps into the role previously occupied by Deepak Bhandari, who will transition to Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development while maintaining his financial planning and analysis duties.
Bergman arrives at High Liner Foods with an extensive background in financial leadership, having most recently served as the CFO for Clearwater Seafoods.

Expressing his enthusiasm about joining High Liner Foods, Bergman stated, “I am eager to collaborate with CEO Paul Jewer and the talented team here to strengthen the company’s financial stability, drive sustainable growth, and enhance long-term value for all our shareholders and stakeholders. We will face future opportunities and challenges with a focus on growth, innovation, and operational excellence.”
CEO and President Paul Jewer shared his thoughts on the appointment, saying, “We are thrilled to have Darryl join High Liner Foods. His extensive global financial experience, particularly as a public company CFO, will be invaluable as we continue to advance our strategic goals and fulfill our mission of Reimagining Seafood to Nourish Life.”
Jewer also took the opportunity to commend Bhandari’s leadership, stating, “Deepak has shown outstanding leadership during his interim period as CFO, and I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to him on behalf of the entire organization.”
