Red Rhino’s Malur facility enhances beer freshness and scale, bringing premium craft brews to more venues across Bangalore.
INDIA – Indian craft beer brand Red Rhino has announced the launch of its new commercial brewery in Malur, Karnataka.
This development represents a major step in the company’s efforts to expand its kegging operations and increase the availability of its popular beer offerings across Bangalore.
The new facility enables Red Rhino to distribute its Signature Lager and Hefeweizen, along with seasonal and experimental brews, to a wider range of premium venues.
The expansion enhances the brewery’s ability to meet rising consumer demand for fresh, high-quality craft beer, supported by state-of-the-art logistics and storage infrastructure.
Ashwin Nawani, Head of Business Strategy at Red Rhino, stated that the Malur brewery is designed to set new industry standards.
Featuring advanced cold chain systems and a streamlined logistics network, the facility is engineered to maintain optimal temperature control and product integrity from production through to final delivery.
Master Brewer Dan Satterthwaite highlighted that the facility is equipped with international-grade brewing technology. The integration of sophisticated fermentation techniques and automated quality control ensures each batch retains its distinct flavor profile and consistency throughout distribution.
The brewery includes large-scale fermentation tanks, dedicated kegging lines, and a fully automated quality assurance system. The investment is expected to significantly improve the company’s distribution capabilities while maintaining artisanal quality at scale.
India’s craft beer industry is witnessing sustained growth, with an annual rate of 22% since 2022. Within this, the premium segment has grown even faster, posting a 27% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), driven by evolving consumer preferences and increased demand for authentic brewing experiences.
Projections indicate continued expansion over the next eight years.
Central to Red Rhino’s operations is BEVERA, its new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This end-to-end platform automates the brewing and distribution cycle, from order processing to delivery, enhancing operational efficiency and enabling faster service.
The new brewery is also expected to contribute to local employment, generating jobs in production, logistics, and sales. Through partnerships with restaurants and retailers in Bangalore, Red Rhino aims to foster a collaborative craft beer culture across the region.
Currently active in Bangalore and Hyderabad, Red Rhino plans to expand its presence nationwide by introducing its craft beer range in other major urban centers across India.
