USA – The US based incorporated ingredient solutions provider, Ingredion has launched a virtual lab for beverages, ‘Inside Idea Labs’, an extension of the global network of Ingredion Idea Labs® innovation centers.

The virtual lab is an interactive online platform equipped with resources and content developed by experts at the company’s brick-and-mortar labs around the world.

Ingredion’s innovation provides breakthroughs in product development, science-based problem solving in line with gluten-free, low or no-calorie products while addressing preference variations.

A commitment to innovation was a contributing factor to development of on-demand digital support, according to the company.

The services are available at to provide a world of resources and expertise through a collaboration on solutions depending on customer needs.

“New technologies in the lab and throughout the supply chain are spurring opportunities for customers large and small,” Michael O’Riordan, vice president, business development at Ingredion, said.

“INSIDE IDEA LABS allows us to expand the reach of our technical services, sharing our established expertise in areas like clean label, sensory experience, and health and nutrition with a broad range of manufacturers — including many customers who have not previously had the opportunity to visit one of our labs.”

With a focus on specific market segments, Ingredion plans to launch the beverage lab in the US and expand to Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Canada, Mexico and South America this year.

The beverage lab is equipped with sample formulations, an ingredient selector, how-to videos and responses to customer questions.

Visitors also will find information about the consumer and market trends driving change in the industry, as well as insights from the experts working throughout our network of Ingredion Idea Labs innovation centers.
