US – Ingredion Incorporated, a global leader in ingredient solutions, has launched VITESSENCE Pea 200 D, a new pea protein isolate designed to address formulation challenges in nutritional beverages.
This latest addition to Ingredion’s plant protein portfolio offers enhanced solubility, resulting in a smooth and creamy mouthfeel ideal for ready-to-mix (RTM) beverages.
With a neutral flavor profile, VITESSENCE Pea 200 D minimizes the need for flavor maskers, enhancing its versatility across a range of applications.
Its advanced formulation provides superior dispersibility and reduced sedimentation, ensuring lump-free textures and quick, efficient dispersion in liquid.
Containing 80 percent protein on a dry basis, the product is made from North American-grown and produced peas, aligning with the company’s commitment to high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.
Jeff Billig, Ingredion’s vice president and general manager of protein fortification, emphasized the significance of VITESSENCE Pea 200 D as a plant-based protein option that meets consumer demands for improved flavor and texture in plant-protein beverages.
“This innovation underscores our commitment to the industry and sets a new benchmark for quality and nutrition,” he stated.
The product is initially being rolled out in the U.S. and Canada, with plans for future availability in the EMEA region.
This launch follows the July debut of VITESSENCE Pea 100 HD, which was specifically optimized for cold-pressed bars, adding texture and nutritional value to extended-shelf-life products.
