Italian egg producer Eurovo has taken a major step in expanding its presence in the UK egg market through these acquisitions.
UK – Eurovo Group, an Italian egg supplier, has acquired the majority of shares in the UK-based liquid egg white brand Two Chicks, marking a significant development for both companies.
The financial terms of the transaction, including the value, have not been disclosed.
Two Chicks, founded in 2007 by Anna Richey and Alla Ouvarova, pioneered the introduction of liquid egg whites in UK retail, becoming a recognized name in the industry.
The acquisition further cements the partnership that began between Eurovo and Two Chicks in 2015, when both companies first collaborated.
Eurovo, a family-owned business with expected revenues of around US$1.34 billion (€1.25 billion) in 2024, provides eggs and egg-based products to more than 5,000 customers in over 40 countries.
Two Chicks, known for its liquid egg white products, is available in major UK retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Lidl, and has expanded its reach to markets like France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the UAE.
This acquisition is anticipated to drive further international expansion and fuel the development of new products for Two Chicks.
The founders of Two Chicks, Richey and Ouvarova, will remain actively involved in the company, continuing to serve as shareholders and maintain leadership.
Richey and Ouvarova expressed their enthusiasm about joining the Eurovo family, citing shared values, and expressing anticipation of leveraging Eurovo’s production capabilities and global reach for future growth and innovation.
Federico Lionello, Eurovo’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, stated his satisfaction with the acquisition, highlighting the mutual benefits for both companies as Two Chicks becomes integrated into Eurovo’s supply chain.
Lionello also emphasized the value of continuing to work with Richey and Ouvarova, recognizing their leadership as an asset for achieving long-term goals.
The acquisition represents an important milestone in Eurovo’s strategy to increase its presence in the UK market while aligning with a well-established brand.
