Jack Daniel’s, Coca-Cola release pre-mixed cocktail collaboration brand in Britain and Europe

UK – Two of the more iconic American brands, Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola, have partnered to launch a ready-to-drink cocktail: Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola Ready-to-Drink, inspired by the classic bar cocktail in Britain and other markets in Europe.

The pre-mixed cocktail collaboration, which debuted in Mexico in November 2022, is now available in the US.

The product resulting from the global agreement between the two brands is hitting shelves in Britain alongside other markets in Europe, before expanding to markets in Latin America and Asia throughout 2023.

Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola Ready-to-Drink is 7% ABV. A Coca-Cola Zero Sugar version will also be available in Britain.

Marshall Farrer, EVP, Chief Strategic Growth Officer, and President of Europe, said: “We are thrilled that Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola RTD are expanding to new markets, delivering the unique taste that was made to set the standard for bar calls around the world to our fans in Europe.”

Elaine Maher, Associate Director at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and distributor of Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola RTD in Britain, noted the launch is a huge moment for Coca-Cola, its customers, and the alcoholic ready-to-drink (ARTD) category.

“The UK is the biggest ARTD market in Europe and is expected to grow significantly by 2030, driven largely by pre-mixed cocktails. Within this, whisky-based variants are in growth– and what better brands to join forces with to accelerate this growth than Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola,” she explained.

“Jack Daniel’s and Cola is already the No.1 pre-mixed SKU in GB worth £38m RSV, and with consumer testing revealing that shoppers are more likely to pick up the new Coca-Cola co-branded Jack Daniel’s ARTD SKU, we’re confident further growth will follow particularly, as we’re also making a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar option available in GB.”

At the same time, the American multinational soda giant, which owns the Fanta brand, is also launching a “bolder and fruitier-tasting” version of the soft drink line’s signature flavor: Fanta Orange.

The new take on Fanta Orange is arriving at grocery stores in the United States and Canada this month, with commercialization expanding to additional countries throughout 2023.

Coke said that it developed the refreshed flavor via consumer taste tests, so with any luck, fans will be able to give the latest Fanta Orange iteration their stamp of approval.

On top of the redesigned taste, the new Fanta Orange products will also look a little different when they hit grocery store shelves.

According to the company, the bottles will feature a new logo and messaging on the label touting the improved taste.

“It’s still the Fanta Orange you know and love, but now even more irresistibly delicious,” Chris Hunsaker, senior brand manager for sparkling flavors for Coca-Cola North America, stated.

“We’re always listening to our consumers to understand their evolving tastes to deliver the best-tasting products and most delightful experiences possible. Fans are craving more of what they love about Fanta Orange, so we’ve enhanced the recipe by amplifying its bold, fruity attributes.”
