KBL unveils fresh look for Kenya Cane Spirit Brand 

KENYA – Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), part of East African Breweries Limited (EABL), has officially launched the new look of their famous spirit brand Kenya Cane popularly known as KC. 

KC, the original cane spirit, has been part of the Kenya’s drink culture since 1976. It commands a strong market share as the leading spirit in the country. 

The brand has various variants that include KC Smooth, KC Coconut, KC Citrus, and KC Pineapple. 

According to the company, the new look celebrates the essence of Kenya Cane with its vibrant colors and dynamic graphics. The evolution reflects the dedication to staying true to the brand heritage while embracing the spirit of innovation. 

Our promise to our consumers is that, even as we transition to the new look, we have retained the authenticity of the liquid. It remains the same legendary smooth taste that they know and love,” said Kennedy Mutula, EABL Marketing Manager Spirits. 

Kenya Cane Brand Manager, Davis Changalwa while celebrating the launch stated, “This is a great moment for Kenya Cane, a brand that has stood the test of time and refreshing consumers 47 years down the line. 

 Our promise to our consumers is that, even as we transition the to the new look, we have retained the authenticity of the liquid as they have always liked it. We will work closely with our distributors across the country to ensure that the new look Kenya Cane is available at their local outlets.” 

In 2022, the brand launched the ‘Great Toast Twice’ campaign that seeks to champion and celebrate everyday Kenyan achievements and inspire the next generation to continue their legacy of excellence. 

In December, KBL inaugurated its new microbrewery in Ruaraka seeking to tap into the craft beer business. The inauguration coincided with the launch of the Manyatta brand, a 100 percent apple cider.  

The product line includes three enticing flavored variants: Mango & Ginger; Lemon & Ginger, and Pineapple & Mint, and is set to hit the market soon, according to the company’s management.
