USA – Global ingredients manufacturer, Kemin Industries has unveiled its new global vision and logo, targeting to reach 80% of the global population with its products and services by 2042.

Kemin says by 2042, when the world’s population will reach approximately 10 billion, it expects to engage approximately 8 billion people with its ingredients and other solutions in sectors including food, feed, pet, bakery and meat.

The new vision lays the groundwork for strategic growth and priorities for the company with operations on six continents and a portfolio of more than 500 specialty ingredients.

It builds on the previously set targets where Kemin reached 3.8 billion lives, more than half the world’s population two years ago.

“When we created our previous vision 20 years ago, it was ambitious and encompassed all aspects of our business,” said Dr. Chris Nelson, President and CEO, Kemin.

“Since then, Kemin has grown ten-fold, and now the impact we can create is even greater.

“By using our scientific expertise at the molecular level and continuing to innovate, we have the ability to be transformative on a global scale in a rapidly changing and growing marketplace.

“With a new vision to guide us, we are reenergized to reach more people with our products and services to truly transform the quality of life around the world.”

The new logo has no border feature, which according to Kemin represents transparency and innovation.

The stylized ‘K’ remains on the logo, paying homage to the two previous Kemin logos while the red arch represents forward movement and calls attention to the ‘I’, emphasizing Kemin’s innovation.

It also features an ‘N’ behind the red arch representing the Nelson family who today privately own and operates the company (tribute to R.W. and Mary Nelson who established the company in 1961).

Further, it reinforces Kemin’s growth and diversification strategy, having expanded to include human and animal health and nutrition, aquaculture, pet food, nutraceutical, food technologies, crop technologies and textile industries.

Some of the company’s innovations include ENDOX® and RENDOX® – two of the first antioxidant products in the feed industry; Sal CURB®, BactoCEASE – leading feed, food and pet food antimicrobials; Myco CURB®, a non-corrosive feed preservative; and a range of botanicals.

“We believe the industries we serve and the science we stand behind offer endless opportunities to reduce our environmental impact and increase our contribution – all while continuing to serve our customers to transform the quality of life around the world,” said Dr. Nelson.
