EUROPE – Kerry, a food technology and ingredients company headquartered in Ireland, has announced new partnerships with distributors, Azelis and Caldic, to strengthen its distribution network across Europe.

Azelis is a leading distributor of speciality raw materials across EMEA, Asia Pacific, and the Americas while Caldic is an international distributor and manufacturer of food ingredients.

The appointment of these two globally-recognized companies is intended to bring Kerry’s industry-leading products and technologies into the hands of more customers in Europe.

The products involved in this partnership will not include Kerry Dairy Ireland, condensed smoke, food service products, retail butchery in UK and Ireland, pharma products and supplements.

According to Thomas Hahlin Ahlinder, Kerry Europe CEO, the partnerships are an important step for Kerry’s Europe business and will help improve the delivery of its core technologies in the region.

Caldic will support Kerry’s distribution network in South Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Nordics and Benelux.

 Azelis, will on the other hand, be responsible for distribution in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe, within the food, beverage and meat sectors.

“We selected these partners due to their extensive experience and we anticipate this partnership will provide increased access and additional choice to a larger number of customers,” said Thomas Hahlin.

CEO of Caldic Europe, Laurent Pasqualini noted that Kerry’s product range was a perfect addition to its food solutions portfolio for the Western European market.

“The increasing consumer interest in plant-based and ‘better for you’ propositions require functional solutions in terms of taste, nutrition and look & feel.

The partnership with Kerry provides an array of ingredients that enable us to formulate solutions to these functional challenges while leveraging our capabilities, thereby supporting our customers in their growth ambitions,” he said.

Audrey Zhukov, Market Segment Director of Food & Nutrition EMEA at Azelis, also relayed their company’s excitement towards the partnership with Kerry which will strengthen its European business relationships.

Kerry intends to continue to operate direct sales across Europe to its established and target-customer base.

The company also recently celebrated 50 years of operations and announced an increase in revenue generated in the year 2022 by 19.3%.
