Kerry Group expands with new customer engagement center

The facility is designed to foster collaboration with food and beverage manufacturers.

USA – Kerry Group, a global leader in taste and nutrition innovation, has opened its West Coast Customer Engagement Center in Commerce, serving as a co-creation hub for the food and beverage industry.

According to the company, the facility will provide customers with the opportunity to collaborate with technical experts or work independently, thereby promoting rapid innovation and commercialisation.

The facility features include enhanced application, research, development and pilot manufacturing capabilities.

The facility will also be a host site for Kerry Kalaido, the company’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered concepting tool. The tool offers data that helps companies with concept ideation and development sessions.

John Cahalane, President and CEO of Kerry North America, said: “This facility is designed to accelerate the development of innovative solutions in the food and beverage industry.”

Kerry opens first international flavoring facility in Pakistan

Recently, the company partnered with Far Eastern Impex (FEI) to establish Pakistan’s first international flavoring production facility.

The center will focus on digital transformation, utilising advanced generative AI solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance R&D, and strengthen global business services.

The state-of-the-art manufacturing plant, built to Kerry’s specifications, will begin operations immediately, servicing global and domestic food manufacturers.

This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening Pakistan’s food industry, enabling Kerry to produce tailored taste solutions for the country’s rapidly expanding consumer market.

By localising production, Kerry and FEI aim to enhance manufacturing capabilities, reduce lead times, and deliver a “Made in Pakistan” product that appeals to both manufacturers and consumers.

Peter Dillane, President and CEO of Kerry Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, said, “We are excited to develop our expertise and capabilities in Pakistan, a dynamic and rapidly growing food market. Through our partnership with FEI, we are offering customers, including PepsiCo, a local manufacturing footprint, reducing lead times, and enabling innovation tailored to local tastes.”

With Pakistan being the sixth most populous country and undergoing rapid urbanisation, the demand for high-quality food products is increasing.

The country’s food industry is projected to grow over 7% annually between 2025 and 2030, presenting a significant opportunity for Kerry and its partners.

The launch of the new facility follows Kerry’s recent investment of €7.5 million (US$7.83 million) from Enterprise Ireland to build a new Digital Centre of Excellence in Ireland.
