USA – Stryve Foods, a prominent US manufacturer of dried meat snacks, has appointed Kevin Vivian, a seasoned veteran from PepsiCo, as the new chairman of its board.

Vivian assumes the role immediately, bringing a wealth of experience from his 32-year tenure at PepsiCo.

During his extensive career at PepsiCo, Vivian held significant positions, including six years as senior vice president of national account sales and division vice president for Frito-Lay crisps.

Since retiring from PepsiCo in 2018, Vivian has served on Stryve Foods’ board, contributing his expertise to the company’s growth and strategy.

Vivian steps into the chairman position previously held by Ted Casey, co-founder of Stryve Foods, who has led the board since the company’s inception in 2017.

Reflecting on his new role, Vivian expressed enthusiasm for joining the company at what he described as “a dynamic time for Stryve Foods.”

He emphasized his commitment to collaborating with the board and management team to drive profitability, achieve strategic objectives, and enhance shareholder value.

The company cited Vivian’s extensive experience with top retail executive teams, developing partnerships, and fostering innovation as key factors in his selection as chairman.

His background aligns well with Stryve Foods’ goals of enhancing sales and market share growth.

Chris Boever, CEO of Stryve Foods, lauded Vivian as “the ideal choice” to guide the company through the third phase of its transformation strategy.

This phase aims to achieve profitability through quality growth initiatives.

Boever, who took the helm as CEO in 2022, has spearheaded a new transformation plan to reduce EBITDA losses and balance the books by fiscal 2025.

In April, the Nasdaq-listed company projected sales in the range of $24-30 million for 2024, an increase from the US$17.7 million recorded in 2023.

Stryve Foods, headquartered in Plano, Texas, produces a variety of high-protein beef snacks under its own brand, as well as the Kalahari, Braaitime, and Vacadillos labels.

Additionally, the company markets and distributes pet treats under the Two Tails brand.

Stryve Foods’ products are available in major grocery and convenience stores, as well as through e-commerce platforms across North America, including Amazon and Walmart.
