GERMANY – KHS Group has expanded its PET and glass bottle handling capabilities by acquiring a majority share in Tyrolon-Schulnig GmbH, a family-owned company renowned for its innovative conveying systems.
This strategic partnership builds on an already successful collaboration, with Tyrolon’s technology—such as conveying stars and neck clamp systems—already integrated into KHS production lines.
The two companies aim to further develop these systems, offering enhanced efficiency, flexibility, and safety in bottle handling.
With this acquisition, Tyrolon’s expertise will be fully incorporated into KHS’s portfolio, enabling the holistic systems provider to offer comprehensive solutions from a single source.

Innovative conveying systems
Founded in 1981, Tyrolon-Schulnig GmbH specializes in advanced bottle handling technologies, including Tyrolon Star, designed for gentle, efficient, and versatile bottle conveying and accommodates various container shapes and sizes and;
Universal Neck Clamp System: This low-maintenance and highly durable system offers an extended service life and superior quality.

Recent acquisitions bolster KHS’s portfolio
In a related development, KHS and Ferrum Packaging AG announced their acquisition of H.F. Meyer Maschinenbau, effective January 1, 2025.
This move enhances the consortium’s capabilities in beverage packaging through H.F. Meyer’s expertise in can turners, rinsers, and vacuum bridges.
Despite the merger, H.F. Meyer will retain operational independence within the consortium.
