Kraft Heinz appoints Marcel Regis as president of West and East emerging markets
USA – The Kraft Heinz Company has named Marcel Regis as president of its West and East emerging markets, starting 3 February 2025.
Regis will be based in Brazil and oversee operations across Latin America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, a region recently established as part of the company’s business structure in 2024.
Before joining Kraft Heinz, Regis served as chief operating officer at Loft, a technology firm in Latin America, where he worked from July 2022.
His career includes a 25-year tenure at Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), where he held various senior roles in both retail and away-from-home businesses.
Regis’ recent position at AB InBev was president of Colombia, and he also led the company’s operations in South Africa following the merger with South African Breweries (SABMiller).
Earlier roles in his career included serving as global vice president for SABMiller’s commercial integration and vice president for non-alcoholic beverages in Brazil.
Kraft Heinz CEO Carlos Abrams-Rivera emphasized Regis’ vast international expertise in driving business transformation within the consumer goods sector.
Abrams-Rivera stated that emerging markets form a critical growth pillar for Kraft Heinz and that Regis’ leadership experience aligns with the company’s objectives for these regions.
In his first comments after the announcement, Regis expressed excitement about joining Kraft Heinz at such a crucial time and helping the company grow in emerging markets.
Regis also noted that the company’s commitment to creating food that improves people’s lives attracted him to the role.
Regis will succeed Bruno Keller, who will leave the company on 7 March after a handover period.
Keller has worked at Kraft Heinz for over 11 years, during which he held various leadership roles, including overseeing the Latin American and Canadian markets.
CEO Abrams-Rivera thanked Keller for his significant contributions to Kraft Heinz and described him as a key partner to the leadership team.
