Kraft Heinz expands with first-ever plant-based chocolate pudding

This new product is crafted using oat milk, a popular dairy alternative, and is both lactose-free and vegan.

USA – Kraft Heinz, a major food and beverage industry player, has unveiled its new JELL-O Oat Milk Chocolate Pudding under its JELL-O brand.

The product, now lactose-free and vegan, marks the first time Kraft Heinz has entered the plant-based desserts category and launched an oat milk-based product.

Lauren Gumbiner, Associate Director of Marketing Desserts at Kraft Heinz, said,  “JELL-O has always set the standard for creamy and great-tasting desserts that families across the country can enjoy.

“As our consumer diets and preferences change, we’re evolving our portfolio alongside them. Our chocolate pudding is a timeless classic, and now, thanks to our lactose-free and vegan oat milk version, we’re excited to allow more families to enjoy it.”

According to the company, the innovation underscores its commitment to meet evolving consumer needs across its portfolio, striving to bring plant-based foods to the masses without sacrificing the delicious experiences for which its brands are known.

Additionally, the company introduced a new line of aiolis and sauces called Creamy Sauces to expand its product range.

This move marks the first innovation under the company’s newly rebranded Kraft sauces, consolidating all sauces, spreads, and salad dressings into one family.

The new product range features five distinct versions, including smoked hickory Bacon-flavoured aioli, Chipotle aioli, Garlic aioli, Burger aioli, and Buffalo-style mayonnaise dressing.

According to the company statement, the Creamy Sauces line is designed to bring rich flavour to various culinary classics, from French fries and sandwiches to onion rings and more.

“In today’s world, we know the kitchen can be daunting for at-home cooks as culture holds them to impossibly high standards. Kraft Sauces aims to show the world that you don’t have to be a professional chef to make delicious food that feels good,” says Kaitlin Roe, Brand Director at Kraft.

Kaitlin also highlighted the intention to directly provide consumers with restaurant-quality depth, tang, and spice in their refrigerators, empowering them to explore new flavours and be more adventurous in the kitchen.

According to the company’s statement, the sauces will mainly focus on quality and taste, which signifies continued innovation and dedication to delivering products that resonate with consumers and enhance their culinary experiences.
