KENYA – Kenyan manufacturer and distributor of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages KWAL, has introduced a new addition to its brand portfolio, Nature’s Fresh.

Coming in two flavours i.e. Grape & Cherry and Mango & Apple, the launch of the product is aligned with the company’s diversification strategy to expand its product portfolio to meet emerging consumer needs.

According to a statement issued by the KWAL Commercial Director Greg Pitt, “Nature’s fresh is a great addition to KWAL’s non-alcoholic beverage portfolio which the company is already very proud of.”

The other non-alcoholic beverages under KWAL’s portfolio include Yatta juice variants, Grenadine syrup and Chamdor sparkling juice.

Due to the current directives issued by the Ministry of Health on minimising contact and social gatherings, the KWAL team has drawn up a compelling digital activation campaign to market the nectar.

With an attractive proposition of #LetsGetFresh, the company entices consumers to try out the refreshing variants of the beverage with real nectar and no artificial colours, sweeteners or flavours.

Nature’s Fresh is available in 1L Tetra packaging retailing at a recommended retail price of Ksh.160.

The debut of the fruit juice follows the launch of Casa Buena Sangria and Caribia Cane in the recent past.

KWAL hosts virtual employee awards ceremony

Meanwhile, the company still upholding with the directive of social distancing to curb the spread of the corona virus, the KWAL team hosted a glamorous virtual event to celebrate and award the best performing employees.

The event which was completely digital was created to enrich and enhance the employee’s engagement and morale whilst at the same time to recognise and award best performing employees.

KWAL Managing Director Lina Githuka noted that while the ideal situation for most people would have been to celebrate as one team KWAL in person, virtual events appear to be the solution in these unprecedented times and the organizing committee swiftly put together a memorable event.

A total of 53 employees were awarded and recognised during the event.

The categories included Long Service Awards, Sales Awards, EQCITE Awards which is part of KWAL’s culture journey and Syspro champions recognition who were a project team that successfully spearheaded an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system change.

After the successful event, the HR team conducted a survey amongst staff members as part of the evaluation of the event.
