USA – Packaging manufacturer, Kwik Lok Corporation has appointed Don Carrell as the new Chief Executive to succeed John K. Rothenbueler who will be retiring from the company as from April 1, 2019.

The company said John K. Rothenbueler will maintain his role as Board Chairman and ensure a smooth transition.

He was appointed Directors to the role of CEO in October of 2015 by the Board of Directors charged with responsibilities to lead the firm’s global packaging and distribution business.

Rothenbueler joined Kwik Lok in January 2015 in a senior leadership role and is praised to have significantly contributed to Kwik Lok Corporation’s business development.

As a certified public accountant, with financial and leadership skills, he helped the company transition to the third generation of family ownership.

“John’s contributions to Kwik Lok have been too numerous to count. He has developed a strategy that keeps our company healthy and innovative while maintaining a positive culture in the face of great change. 

I am glad he will remain in the role as Board Chair and happy that he has reached this well-deserved milestone in his career,” said Board Spokesperson, Stephanie Jackson.

Don Carrell is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Kwik Lok and has worked in the manufacturing sector for more than three decades holding a variety of leadership positions.

He is a graduate of Washington State University and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Gonzaga University.

Speaking on his appointment, he said: “I am committed to continuing the Kwik Lok legacy of customer service, innovation and growth. 

“We have a terrific team and are well-positioned for an exciting future.” 

The company recently appointed Motohiro Kawai as new President for Japanese operations, after the former announced plans to retire.

The firm which manufactures plastic bag closures for the packaging industry, has also appointed Xiuming Bai as Regional Sales Director to lead the company sales team in China.
