Minute Maid expands alcohol portfolio with new vodka punch, spiked pink lemonade

USA – Minute Maid, a Coca-Cola brand, has strengthened its presence in the alcohol industry with the launch of a new lineup of vodka-based cocktails, including Minute Maid Spiked Vodka Punch and a boozy Pink Lemonade.

The brand’s latest offerings include a variety of flavors such as citrus, berry, and tropical punch.

Each 355-milliliter can contains 5% ABV, with an eight-pack featuring all flavors priced at US$19.99.

“For Minute Maid Spiked, our motto is ‘No Fuss, No Muss. No Duh.’ which is about making hard-to-make cocktails easy and enjoyable,” said Lou Grill, president of Red Tree Beverages, a Coca-Cola subsidiary.

Red Tree Beverages, launched in 2022, is responsible for Coca-Cola’s expansion into alcoholic beverages by identifying crossover opportunities within its portfolio.

The new vodka cocktails build on the success of the wine-based Minute Maid Spiked line introduced last year, featuring flavors like Strawberry Daiquiri and Blue Hawaiian.

Coca-Cola has been increasing its footprint in the alcohol sector through partnerships with major players.

The company has collaborated with Molson Coors on Simply Spiked Lemonade, Brown-Forman on Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola, and Constellation Brands on Fresca Mixed.

Red Tree Beverages noted that these products are brought to market through relationships with independent manufacturers.

The new Minute Maid Spiked drinks cater to the rising demand for non-carbonated canned cocktails, a growing trend in the ready-to-drink (RTD) market. Molson Coors, for instance, recently launched Happy Thursday spiked refreshers, targeting Gen Z consumers.

Coca-Cola’s expansion aligns with a broader industry shift, as major food and beverage brands increasingly enter the RTD alcohol space.

Kraft Heinz, for example, recently introduced a Crystal Light vodka refresher, marking its debut in the alcohol market.
