USA – Mondelez International, the global snacking giant, has partnered with Sargento, a Wisconsin-based, family-owned cheese company, to launch a new line of cheese crackers: Sargento cheese bakes.
Mondelez said the crackers, made with Sargento cheese and herbs, come in three flavors: aged white cheddar and rosemary, pepper jack, and Parmesan and oregano.
Miguel Zorrilla, vice president of Mondelez International, said, “Cheese lovers deserve snacks that celebrate quality ingredients and exceptional taste. With Sargento Cheese Bakes, we’re bringing together premium Sargento cheese and Mondelez expertise as a leading maker of crackers to deliver an exciting and delicious snacking experience that beautifully highlights the best of both brands.”
Erin Price, the General Manager of Sargento, mentioned that the company has been dedicated to creating delicious and natural cheese products for over 70 years.
She highlighted that, for the first time, Sargento’s family-owned brand will now be available in the cracker aisle, thanks to their ongoing partnership with Mondelēz.
Mondelez appoints Canadian President
A little while back, Mondelez named Naniss Gadel-Rab President of Mondelez Canada Inc., who will succeed Karla Schlieper, set to leave the company in early March.
Gadel-Rab will draw from more than two decades of leadership roles in supply chain, sales, strategy, marketing and e-commerce, spanning nine countries across nine continents.
The company said she previously led Unilever Canada’s foods portfolio, delivering one of the fastest-growing businesses globally while doubling down on digital and social transformation with Canadian consumers.

Last year, the company also appointed Filippo Catalano as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Catalano has expansive experience, spanning more than two decades, in forming and implementing digital technologies as part of the overall business strategy of various businesses, especially in the food and beverage sector.

the same period, Catalano also served as Farmer Connect’s non-executive director, where he got his entry into the food and beverage sector.
Catalano was also the Senior Vice President and Global CIO at Nestle, where he developed and implemented various digital transformation efforts, including the enhanced utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and cloud computing in routine operations.
