NIGERIA – Nigeria’s quick service restaurant Mr Bigg’s and subsidiary of United Africa Company (UAC) of Nigeria, has opened a new state-of-the-art combo store in Lagos in bid to reposition its brand.

The new restaurant features ample sitting area both with a downstairs lobby and upper lobby coupled with a Kiddies corner tagged “Duplin Planet” aimed at providing the whole family with an unforgettable experience.

According to UAC Restaurants Limited, the new approach promises to sustain excellence in a wide variety of dishes, pastries and confectionaries to the delight of its teeming consumers, which is the heritage of Mr Bigg’s.

Speaking on the new combo restaurant, the restaurant manager, Olorode Sadiq said, “The new store is patterned to deliver high-quality food and good ambience as the basic standard. The menu offering is aimed at providing a wide variety of choices to meet the customer tastes and trends.”

UAC Restaurants Limited began the remodelling of Mr Bigg’s store in a new initiative aimed at positively redefining the lifestyle of its numerous customers.

The first of its contemporary restaurant was opened in Northwest Filling station in Victoria Garden City, Lekki in July 2019.

Mr Bigg’s is the flagship brand of the fast food chain business operated under UAC of Nigeria’s division, UAC Restaurants Limited.

In 2013, Famous brands, a leading quick service restaurant franchisor entered into an agreement to acquire a 49% stake UAC Restaurants Limited from its parent company, UAC of Nigeria

The quick service restaurant division is a major business in UAC and currently operates over 150 outlets operating other brands such as Debonairs pizza, Steers, Mugg & Bean and Fishaways.

The UAC of Nigeria is a conglomerate of industries whose business operations include food and beverages, manufacturing, services, logistics and warehousing, agricultural and real estate.

The company operates a food and beverages segment under the subsidiary UAC Foods Limited through a joint venture between UAC of Nigeria Plc and Tiger Brands and manufactures packaged snacks, fruit juice, ice-cream, and bottled spring water.

UAC has also ventured into the grains and cereals sector through it Grand Cereals Limited business which manufactures and markets Grand Edible Oils, Vital Poultry/Fish Feeds and Grand Maize Meals.
