SOUTH AFRICA – Natural Drinks, a South African-based beverage company known for its naturally fermented non-alcoholic beverages, has announced a rebranding of its product line.

The company, founded in 2014, revealed new packaging designs that celebrate its South African heritage, marking a significant evolution in its brand identity.

Natural Drinks, the producer of popular non-alcoholic beverages such as GemmerKat Ginger Beer, PorcuPine Pineapple Beer, Gecko Grapefruit Lemonade, and Lite Gemmerkat Ginger Beer, has grown significantly over the past decade.

The company started with just 30 clients but has since established a strong presence nationwide.

Ian Nieuwoudt, the owner of Natural Drinks, expressed excitement over the rebranding, which aims to reflect the deep traditional roots of their products.

“Over the past 10 years, Natural Drinks has grown from humble beginnings. We are excited to introduce new designs that celebrate the deep traditional roots of our products in South African culture,” Nieuwoudt stated.

The new packaging, designed by Supernova Collective, incorporates landscape scenes from various regions of South Africa, along with animal mascots representing each flavor variant.

This approach was not only aesthetic but also strategic, as it connects with consumers’ pride in their South African identity.

Jo Sagrestano, creative director at Supernova Collective, said, “Our goal was to create designs that not only honor Natural Drinks’ rich history but also visually embody the spirit of South Africa’s landscapes, wildlife, and traditions.”

The newly designed products are now available at major retailers across South Africa, including Checkers, Shoprite, Food Lovers Market, and SPAR stores, offering consumers a vibrant new look that complements the refreshing taste of the drinks.
