INDIA – MCKT Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has officially introduced Khukri Rum to India, marking a significant expansion for the internationally recognized Himalayan brand.

Produced by Nepal’s first distillery, Khukri Rum boasts a 65-year heritage, blending tradition and craftsmanship to deliver a premium spirits experience.

Known as “the rum from the top of the world,” Khukri has gained global recognition and is already well-established in key markets, including the USA, UK, Japan, Italy, Australia, and the UAE.

Its Indian debut, beginning in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Maharashtra, aligns with MCKT’s strategy to enhance India’s premium spirits segment with high-quality offerings.

To cater to diverse consumer preferences, Khukri Rum is launching in India with three distinct expressions.

Khukri XXX Rum delivers a bold, dark profile with notes of toffee, vanilla, prune, and Himalayan herbs, finishing with smooth caramel.

Khukri Spiced Rum blends cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, and toffee, enriched with dry fruits for a subtly sweet, warm taste and lingering finish.

Khukri White Rum offers a delicate tropical character with a smooth, crisp texture, achieved through meticulous charcoal filtration, making it an ideal choice for premium cocktails.

Khukri Rum has earned numerous accolades, including a Bronze Award at the 2024 International Wine and Spirit Competition, Silver at the 2004 World Selection of Spirits & Liqueurs, and Gold at the International Rum Festival.

Commenting on the launch, Harsh Sinha, Country Director – India, MCKT Beverages Pvt. Ltd., stated, “We are thrilled to introduce Khukri Rum to Indian consumers. With India’s increasing demand for premium spirits, this is the perfect time to bring our iconic blend to this dynamic market.”
