KENYA – The organizers of Africa Food Manufacturing and Safety Summit (AFMASS) have announced a new date for the AFMASS Foodtech Conference and Expo Tanzania edition, which will now take place on March 28-29,2019 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The AFMASS FoodTech Conferences & Expos are events that aim to impart the technical skills, ideas and innovations by engaging food industry’s key decision makers and experts across Africa.

It covers Africa’s food, beverage, milling and hospitality industry with a platform to network and learn about the latest technological advances, innovations, practices as well as sustainability initiatives that seeks to bring a balance between business and the environment we live in.

Attendees at the AFMASS FoodTech Conferences & Expos Tanzania edition are expected to come from Tanzania mainland, Zanzibar and Pemba plus surrounding countries and other interested parties from across Africa and the World.

The event runs over two days and brings together the industry, government regulators and other stakeholders to discover the latest trends in processing, packaging and food safety technologies, plus nutrition and sustainability trends.

Several speakers from Africa and the world are expected to cover subject matter areas important to Tanzania’s industry, including food safety, nutrition, processing and packaging technologies and innovations management. 

A number of high profile keynote speakers and panelists from across Tanzania’s food industry, Government agencies and NGOs are also expected to give their views during the two days of the event.

A parallel Exhibition – featuring the leading regional and international suppliers of milling and processing equipment, packaging, ingredients, chemicals, food safety and laboratory solutions and other industry solutions – will provide an opportunity for key decision makers to meet and network with original equipment manufacturers and distributors.

A related event, AFMASS FoodTech Conference and Expo Rwanda edition, is also set to debut in July 10-11, 2019 in Kigali, with a focus on the industry in Rwanda and the Great Lakes Region of Africa, which includes Burundi, Uganda, DRC and South Sudan.

The regional conferences are part of AFMASS Conferences & Exhibitions which features leading regional and international suppliers to the industry showcasing their latest solutions that target Africa’s rising manufacturing, retail and food service industry.
