NIGERIA – International Breweries Plc, the Nigerian subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has announced the appointment of Olutoyin Modupe Odulate as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the company.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) listed firm manufactures and distributes alcoholic and soft beverages in Nigeria under the  Brands; Trophy Lager, Trophy Black, Castle Milk Stout, Castle Lager, Redds, Hero, Grand Malt, Betamalt, and Voltic Water.

According to a statement released by the brewing company, Odulate is a seasoned consumer goods and fast moving consumer good senior management professional with over 16 years of multi-national corporate experience across various sectors.

She has previously server in retail management & distribution, supply chain optimization, strategic development, operational planning and risk management capacities, the firm said in the statement.

Odulate has also worked across the telecoms, management consulting & Consumer Goods and FMCG industries under business development, product development, branding and marketing divisions.

Notably, Odulate has held past senior roles including missions at L’Oreal, MTN Nigeria & Accenture and most recently as Regional Director Anglophone West Africa at Danone ELN where she worked for 6 years.

She is an expert in retail, distribution, supply chain & cross-country regulatory management across key Sub-Saharan African markets, the statement extrapolates.

She is also well-versed with matching international best practices and standards to local complex environments through past detailed assignments in the US, Europe & Sub-Saharan Africa.

Odulate, who is also a Non-Executive Director at Afrinvest West Africa Limited, is also the founder and chief executive officer, Olori Beauty Enterprise Ltd, an African multi-brand cosmetics manufacturing start-up, based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Under her management, Olori Beauty was recently featured and awarded in the Companies to Inspire Africa 2019 report by the London Stock Exchange Group.

“Her experience would be of immense value to the Board of Directors of the Company,” the statement read.

Odulate’s appointment adds vigour to the firm’s board after the brewer recently announced the appointment of Mr Richard Rivett-Carnac to its Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr. Rivett-Carnac replaced Phillip Redman who resigned his appointment as a Non-Executive Director of the company.
