Nile Breweries relaunches Chairman’s Extra Strong Beer in Uganda

Nile Breweries Limited has reintroduced Chairman’s Extra Strong Beer in Uganda, featuring a refined 7% ABV brew with a sleek new design. The relaunch caters to consumer demand for a premium strong beer that embodies success and ambition.

UGANDA – Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) has officially reintroduced Chairman’s Extra Strong Beer (ESB) to the Ugandan market, responding to strong consumer demand for a high-quality, bold beer that reflects leadership and ambition.

Now available in Kampala, the revamped Chairman’s ESB features a sophisticated 330ml bottle and an updated premium label.

With a 7% alcohol by volume (ABV), the beer delivers a full-bodied taste, expertly crafted with high-quality barley malt and maize.

Adu Rando, Managing Director of Nile Breweries, emphasized that consumer feedback played a crucial role in the decision to bring back Chairman’s ESB.

“Chairman’s ESB is a beer that resonates with Ugandans who take charge of their lives,” Rando stated.

Market research indicated a growing demand for a strong yet smooth beer with an aspirational appeal. “Relaunching Chairman’s ESB was an obvious move. This brand represents power, dependability, and success,” Rando added.

Eric Malinga, Brand Manager for Chairman’s ESB, highlighted the beer’s unique characteristics.

“Chairman’s ESB is more than just another strong beer – it’s a statement. We have crafted it with the finest ingredients to ensure a rich, full-bodied taste that is bold yet smooth,” Malinga explained.

Beyond the relaunch, Nile Breweries has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Uganda’s agricultural sector

The company sources maize locally for brewing Chairman’s ESB and other brands, working closely with smallholder farmers to create a stable demand for their produce.

Through partnerships with various farmers, the initiative is expected to create an impact on the livelihoods of smallholder farmers by providing them with a consistent and reliable demand for their produce.
