OctoFrost acquires HiTec Food Systems to expand food processing capabilities

SWEDEN – OctoFrost, a company recognized globally for its food processing equipment, is acquiring HiTec Food Systems, a Netherlands-based manufacturer specializing in customized food processing machinery.

The acquisition broadens OctoFrost’s operational footprint and integrates HiTec’s expertise into its portfolio, further strengthening its presence in the global market.

The collaboration brings together OctoFrost’s focus on blanching, cooking, chilling, and freezing technologies with HiTec’s advanced systems for coating, frying, oil filtering, grilling, and cooling.

The combined resources aim to provide comprehensive solutions for diverse food production needs.

This move also marks the expansion of OctoFrost Group’s production facilities to three locations: two in Sweden and one in the Netherlands.

OctoFrost Group CEO, Rasmus Larsson, highlighted the significance of the acquisition, emphasizing its role in the company’s plans to deliver efficient and integrated food processing solutions.

“The addition of HiTec to the OctoFrost Group enables us to enhance our offerings and provide our customers with more robust systems tailored to their needs. By combining our strengths, we aim to improve operations for various food industries,” said Larsson.

HiTec Food Systems CEO Eddie van Dam and Sales Director Jeroen Lijkendijk also shared their perspective on the development.

Van Dam described the acquisition as a step forward for HiTec, allowing the company to leverage OctoFrost’s resources while maintaining its innovative approach to food processing equipment.

“Joining OctoFrost allows us to deliver more value to our customers while retaining HiTec’s identity and innovation,” he said.

Lijkendijk added that becoming part of OctoFrost would enhance HiTec’s reach in the international market.

“This partnership strengthens HiTec’s ability to serve clients globally while preserving our commitment to quality and innovation,” he said.

Following the acquisition, HiTec will continue to operate under its brand, offering high-quality, hygienic, and innovative machinery.

The collaboration is expected to streamline processes for industries such as meat, poultry, seafood, and fresh produce processing, with both companies focused on delivering tailored food processing solutions.
