GHANA – Nutrifoods Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of Olam Ghana and a market leader in the production of top-grade biscuits, has debut the first locally made strawberry shortcake biscuit, ”Perk Strawberry Shortcake” under its Perk brand.
The Perk Strawberry Shortcake biscuit launched under the theme ‘’The Pink Experience’’ was in response to consumer research on new Perk biscuit flavours and varieties undertaken by the manufacturer adding to its Perk Milk and Perk Choco shortcake biscuits.

Our consumers love trying anything new and want a more exciting flavour of Perk, hence the addition of Perk Strawberry to the existing Perk Milk and Perk Choco shortcake biscuits.” Stated Mrs. Kabuki Owusu Atakorah, Brand Manager at Nutrifoods Biscuits.
The new biscuit is made with real strawberry jam, fortified wheat flour and rich milk protein.
It was officially unveiled in two of Ghana’s major commercial cities, Accra and Kumasi in a 63g pink pack.
It is also found in all traditional markets, supermarkets, neighbourhood groceries and mini marts nationwide at a consumer price of GHS1.00.
Nutrifoods are producers of popular household biscuit brands including, Milky Magic, Nutrisnax Oats Digestive and Royal King Cracker.
In August, the company introduced the first egg and milk-based biscuit into the market.
Made with fortified wheat flour, whole egg powder and rich milk proteins, the Milky Magic Eggrich biscuit seeks to enable the company expand and meet growing demand in the prevailing nutrition snacking space among children.
The egg and milk ingredients provide an affordable source of protein and a balanced diet.
Milky Magic Eggrich biscuits are available in a 36g pack and in an attractive packaging nationwide at a consumer price of 0.50p, reports Ghana News Agency.
