SPAIN – Grupo Palacios, renowned for its iconic chorizo and Spanish omelette offerings, has announced a strategic collaboration with US-based The Every Co. to introduce a groundbreaking “hen-less egg” into select product lines.
This Madrid-based food group, which boasts a diverse portfolio including fresh tortillas and frozen pastries, aims to integrate Every Egg into its flagship Spanish omelette products and future R&D endeavors.
Every Egg, previously focused on the upscale US foodservice sector, has captured Palacios’ attention with its exceptional taste and culinary adaptability.
The product promises to seamlessly mimic the flavor and texture of traditional high-quality hen eggs across various dishes, aligning perfectly with Palacios’ commitment to maintaining authentic gastronomic experiences.
The Every Co., formerly known as Clara Foods before rebranding in 2021, has garnered substantial backing from industry heavyweights including Brazil’s Minerva and Grupo Bimbo of Mexico, as well as investments from Anheuser-Busch InBev and actress Anne Hathaway.
This strategic partnership marks a pivotal moment for Palacios, reflecting its ongoing evolution in response to consumer demand for sustainable and innovative food solutions.
Commenting on the collaboration, Palacios expressed enthusiasm for Every Egg’s potential to revolutionize its product offerings, underscoring the product’s ability to cater to evolving consumer preferences without compromising on taste or quality.
Founded originally as a local butcher shop in Albelda de Iregua, La Rioja in the 1960s, Palacios has since expanded significantly, achieving a turnover exceeding €380 million (US$407.4M) in 2023.
With 11 production facilities in Spain, one in the UK, and another in the US, the company’s products reach over 50 countries worldwide, supported by a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees.
