USA – PepsiCo has announced the expansion of its Gatorade brand with the launch of Gatorade Hydration Booster, an electrolyte drink mix designed to support all-day hydration for everyday lifestyles.

The powder blend includes watermelon juice, sea salt, sodium citrate, and potassium salt, providing a boost of electrolytes without artificial flavors, sweeteners, or added colors.

According to the company, each packet of Gatorade Hydration Booster contains 100% of the daily recommended intake of vitamins A, B3, B5, B6, and C.

The hydration solution is available in three flavors: strawberry watermelon, tropical mango, and citrus berry.

The new product is available in stores nationwide and online, including through Amazon, in six-count boxes priced at US$8.99.

According to Marissa Pines, senior marketing director for the Gatorade portfolio, the Hydration Booster combines Gatorade’s history of scientific hydration with the functional attributes that consumers are increasingly seeking.

“Developed with an advanced blend of electrolytes, added vitamins and no added color, it was designed to deliver all-day, always-on hydration,” she said.

The launch positions Gatorade within the fast-growing beverage enhancers segment, which has surged by 63 percent over the last three years, reaching US$2.8 billion, according to Circana data.

Gatorade, which already controls over 70 percent of the sports drink market, has been expanding its portfolio to meet evolving consumer needs.

Earlier this year, Gatorade launched its first-ever water offering — an electrolyte-infused beverage for athletes and exercise buffs looking for a healthier hydration offering throughout the day.

The brand also entered the energy drink category with its first caffeinated beverage called Fast Twitch in 2022.
