GHANA – Pernod Ricard Ghana has added Seagram’s Imperial Blue whisky to its portfolio, as part of the beverage giant’s ambitions of becoming the leader in the mainstream spirits market among the emerging middle class of Ghana.
Seagram’s Imperial Blue is a brand of Indian whisky launched in 1997, being a blend of Indian grain spirits with imported Scotch malts.
Commenting on the penetration of the brand in Ghana, Mr. Kartik Mohindra, Chief Marketing officer of Pernod Ricard India, said, “Ghana has the highest per capita GDP in West Africa, which makes it one of the most critical markets for us.’’

Ghana is the 36th country in the world in which Imperial Blue has been launched successfully.
The whisky brand is the largest volume contributor to the Pernod Ricard Group globally with over 3500 bottles of Imperial blue are sold every minute.

Beginning of this month Pernod Ricard Winemakers launched two premium wines, Jacob’s Creek and Campo Viejo in Ghana.
The Classic Jacob’s Creek Chardonnay is made soft and fresh with creamy peaches, fresh melon and a tasty oak finish and contains a 13.1 % (ACL).
The rich and fruity Spanish Rioja wine, Campo Viejo Tempranillo with a 13.5 % (ACL) is made with intense rich flavours of ripe red cherries and strawberries, followed by sweet vanilla and spice.
