FRANCE- Primo Water Corporation, an American pure-play water solutions provider focused on healthy and sustainable hydration solutions, has acquired two French companies specializing in the marketing and packaging of spring water, for undisclosed financial terms.

The water company offering multi-gallon bottled water, water dispensers, self-service refill water machines, and water filtration appliances said the acquisition of Eureau Sources and Defaus further strengthens its vision to offer sustainable water solutions to customers and consumers.

 Eureau Sources, founded in 1996, specializes in packaging spring water in 5-gallon returnable bottles for refrigerated water coolers.

In 2016, the company became the French leader in bottling water in carafes, sourcing its draws water from four sources in the Cantal, Indre et Loire, Oise, and Vaucluse regions to effectively cover the entire French territory.

On the other hand, Defeaus was founded in 1996 and has been marketing HERMES spring water since 2015.

Located in Hautes-de-France, in the heart of the Oise, the water is bottled on-premise and distributed mainly in the Ile de France region to commercial and residential customers.

Primo Water CEO, Thomas Harrington, said: “Customers will continue to receive products and services from Eureau Sources and Defaus while benefiting from being a part of Primo’s global family of brands focused on healthy and sustainable hydration.”

Primo enters into distribution agreement with Flow Beverage 

Meanwhile, Flow Beverage Corp. has signed a distribution agreement with Primo Water Corporation, whereby Flow Alkaline Spring Water will become available to over 1.8 million subscription customers across Primo’s consumer distribution network in the United States at beginning of August 2022.

Flow’s founder and CEO, Nicholas Reichenbach, said, “As we continue to focus on growth, our organization is thrilled to be partnering with Primo, which offers access to the Flow brand to consumers across the United States through a world-class distribution network.

 This agreement builds on the momentum we’ve achieved in our direct-to-consumer business, bringing the Flow brand into new households that are seeking beverages with functional benefits and best-in-class sustainability credentials.”

Mr.Harrington added that as Primo develops incremental opportunities for growth, partnering with Flow to offer its Alkaline Spring Water adds a great tasting and innovative option to the portfolio of brands that Primo offers to hydrate its customers in the United States.

With a shared commitment to environmental stewardship, Flow Alkaline Spring Water is an additional sustainable solution for Primo’s customers and helps the company achieve its goals in ESG leadership.

Through its Water Direct business, Primo delivers sustainable hydration solutions across its 21-country footprint direct to the customer’s door, whether at home or to businesses.

 Through its Water Exchange and Water Refill businesses, Primo offers pre-filled and reusable containers at approximately 14,000 locations, water dispenser sales at approximately 9,000 locations, and water refill units at approximately 24,000 locations, respectively.
