Prinova acquires Aplinova expanding its ingredient portfolio
This acquisition strengthens Prinova’s presence in the Latin American market, which is a key growth area for functional foods and supplements.
BRAZIL – Prinova, a subsidiary of the NAGASE Group, has acquired Aplinova, a provider of specialty ingredients for a wide range of food market segments.
As stated by Prinova, the acquisition aligns with the increasing demand for functional and healthy ingredients among consumers.
It added that Aplinova was a company that shares its passion for innovation and commitment to meet the needs of customers and end-consumers.
Richard McEvoy, President and CEO of the Prinova Group, said, “The Brazilian ingredients market is increasingly important and Aplinova has long been one of its key players, so we’re excited to bring them into the Prinova family.

Recently, Prinova named Richard McEvoy the new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Richard replaces Don Thorp, who will retire following a successful 42-year tenure leading the business.
Richard is a dynamic business leader with an excellent track record of driving transformational business growth across multiple leading life sciences companies.
His career includes leadership roles at Unilever, JohnsonDiversey, and Vantage Specialty Chemicals, and most recently, he served as CEO of Voyant Beauty.
