Prinova appoints Richard McEvoy as Chief Executive Officer

USA – Prinova, a global leader in distributing functional ingredients and manufacturing solutions, has named Richard McEvoy new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2025.

Richard replaces Don Thorp, who will retire following a successful 42-year tenure leading the business.

Richard is a dynamic business leader with an excellent track record of driving transformational business growth across multiple leading life sciences companies.

His career includes leadership roles at Unilever, JohnsonDiversey, and Vantage Specialty Chemicals, and most recently, he served as CEO of Voyant Beauty.

Ikemoto also expressed gratitude to Don Thorp for his 42 years of dedicated leadership and acknowledged the solid foundation he has established for Prinova’s future success.

In 2023, the company entered into a definitive agreement to acquire The Ingredient House, a supplier of high-quality ingredients for various industries, such as sweeteners.

Prinova President and CEO Don Thorp expressed enthusiasm about welcoming The Ingredient House to the Prinova Group. He highlighted the value of their innovative commercial team and their integration into Prinova’s broader network.

Thorp emphasised that the success of Prinova’s ingredient business is rooted in strong customer relationships, market expertise, and a global presence.

He also noted that The Ingredient House will significantly enhance its offerings, particularly in the sweetener and polyol sectors.
