US – US-based wine importer Quintessential is expanding its product range to include spirits, starting with the introduction of Le Gin 13.
The gin is crafted by André Brunel, the renowned producer of Les Cailloux and Cuvée Centenaire from Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Le Gin 13 is set to be available nationwide in the US by autumn this year.
Dennis Kreps, co-owner of Quintessential, expressed enthusiasm about this new venture. “For the last twenty years, Quintessential has represented family-owned wineries from around the world. We’re excited to continue that core ethos with our first foray into the craft spirits world with Le Gin 13 from André Brunel, a current partner that we greatly admire,” said Kreps.
Le Gin 13 is described as a terroir-driven gin, integrating traditional gin techniques with a unique twist.
It uses grapes, stems, and skins and features 13 hand-selected botanicals, all crafted from organic grapes. Kreps highlighted the connection between wine and spirits, stating that Le Gin 13 ties together these two worlds, making it an ideal addition to their portfolio.
Based in Napa, California, Quintessential is a family-owned wine and spirits importer, marketer, and sales company.
Led by Steve Sr. and Dennis Kreps, the company represents 45 wineries across 12 countries, including brands like Domain Carrion France, Terrapura Chile, Bodegas Muriel Spain, and Goose Ridge Washington.
The launch of Le Gin 13 marks Quintessential’s commitment to diversifying its offerings and providing handcrafted spirits to fine wine shops and restaurant customers, catering to consumers seeking authentic and dynamic alcoholic beverages.
The expansion comes at a crucial period when the Spirits Market size is estimated at US$619.54 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach US$825.57 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 5.91 percent during the forecast period (2024-2029).
