USA – ReGen Brands has launched new initiatives aimed at supporting companies in the regenerative agriculture space, including those focused on meat and poultry production.
The company introduced two key platforms: the ReGen Brands Institute and the ReGen Brands Coalition, designed to foster collaboration and provide resources for businesses dedicated to regenerative practices.
The ReGen Brands Institute offers a range of reports and resources focused on consumer-priced goods (CPG) that align with regenerative agricultural principles.
The institute’s goal is to help brands develop solutions that address issues like nutrition, climate change, biodiversity, and social equity.
Anthony Corsaro, the co-founder of ReGen Brands, emphasized the importance of regenerative brands in building a sustainable food system.
“We’ve spent the past three years researching the needs of this sector, and we’re now launching this ecosystem to help address those challenges,” said Corsaro.
Alongside the Institute, ReGen Brands also introduced the ReGen Brands Coalition, a trade association designed to unite businesses in the regenerative CPG sector.
The coalition aims to identify common challenges and work together on solutions to advance regenerative practices.
Among the first members of the coalition are several companies involved in regenerative meat production.
Hickory Nut Gap, a meat producer based in Asheville, North Carolina, has joined the coalition in hopes of expanding its reach and promoting its regenerative approach to agriculture.
“We’re excited to join the ReGen Coalition and collaborate with brands that share our mission to transform food and agriculture for the benefit of farmers, the land, and consumers,” said Jamie Ager, CEO of Hickory Nut Gap.
Pasturebird, the largest pasture-raised poultry operation in the United States, has also joined the coalition.
Based in Temecula, California, Pasturebird moves chickens to fresh pasture daily using solar power.
Meredith Cochran, the company’s director of marketing, highlighted the importance of collaboration to further regenerative agriculture’s goals.
