Reliance’s Campa Cola expands to UAE in partnership with Agthia Group

UAE – Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has announced the launch of its soft drink brand Campa Cola in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the ongoing Gulfood exhibition.

The launch marks RCPL’s first entry into the UAE market, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the region.

RCPL has partnered with Agthia Group, a leading food and beverage company in the region, to introduce Campa Cola to UAE consumers.

The brand, which has disrupted the Indian beverages industry since its reintroduction in 2023, aims to build a strong presence in the UAE’s competitive soft drink market.

“We are excited to enter the UAE market with Campa, a heritage Indian brand founded more than 50 years ago. We see great potential for accelerated growth in the region and are investing for the long term,” said RCPL COO Ketan Mody.

He added that the launch would attract new consumers and evoke nostalgia among Indian expatriates, connecting them to their roots.

Initially, the Campa portfolio in the UAE will include Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, and Cola Zero. The brand features refreshed red and purple packaging and is competitively priced to appeal to a wide consumer base.

Agthia’s CEO Alan Smith expressed confidence in Campa Cola’s success in the UAE, particularly among the country’s significant Indian expatriate community.

“This iconic brand holds deep nostalgia for many, and we believe it will strongly resonate with Indian expats and local consumers alike. With our robust distribution network and market expertise, we’re excited to reintroduce Campa Cola to a new generation of consumers in the UAE,” he stated.

Agthia Group PJSC, based in Abu Dhabi, is a locally listed F&B company and part of ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies. ADQ’s broad portfolio spans key sectors of Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy.

The launch of Campa Cola in the UAE follows RCPL’s recent expansion into India’s sports hydration drink segment with the introduction of Spinner.

Priced at Rs 10 (US$0.12) for a 150 ml bottle, Spinner aims to establish a strong foothold in the country’s growing sports beverage market. It is available in three flavors: Lemon, Orange, and Nitro Blue.

Last month, RCPL also entered the rehydration beverage category with RasKik Gluco Energy, priced at Rs 10 (US$0.12) per pack. The RasKik range includes mango, apple, mixed fruit, coconut water, and nimbu pani.
