Roberto Yamawaki assumes role as Hubbard Global Technical Director

USA – Roberto Yamawaki has officially taken over as Hubbard’s Global Technical Director following a seamless handover process with his predecessor, Dr. James Bentley.

In his new role, Yamawaki will manage the Global Technical Customer Support team, which consists of technical managers, product specialists, and technology transfer experts.

The team also includes poultry industry professionals such as veterinarians, nutritionists, and hatchery and broiler specialists.

Yamawaki’s career in the poultry industry began early and has been marked by significant achievements.

A graduate of São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Brazil, he holds a degree in veterinary medicine and a master’s in poultry pathology and immunology.

He has also completed an MBA in General Management at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), earned a Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma, and pursued a business specialization at Harvard Business School.

Yamawaki is currently completing his PhD at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), where his research focuses on poultry nutrition, meta-analysis, and sustainability.

Before joining Hubbard, Yamawaki held various positions at JBS-Seara in Brazil, including Broiler Technical Services Veterinarian and Broiler Production Manager.

In 2018, he became Hubbard’s Technical Services Manager for South America, where he led the regional customer support team and oversaw product performance analysis and marketing.

Yamawaki has received international recognition for his contributions to the poultry industry.

He was named one of the “30 Under 30” young professionals in the global poultry business by USPOULTRY, the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), and the North American Meat Institute (NAMI) during the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta.
